The all-new 2009 Acura TSX has received mixed reactions to say the least. Although the new model is larger and is packed with plenty techno-goodies and Euro-styling, many TSX fans seem to feel that the new model also missed the mark when it came to performance and styling.
Lately, I’ve seen plenty of Acura TSX commercials, and although I fall into the latter category of Acura fans that feel a beat cheated based on the vehicle’s performance specs in that it offers a mere 200 horsepower, I must say that I’m digging the commercials. They definitely are directed towards a specific demographic: young, affluent buyers who want something that offers luxury and technology, Japanese quality, and best of all great value. Amid the yuppies having a good time around town in their TSX, the commercial also features an awesome song by Citizen Cope that compliments the imagery seamlessly.
Without the turbo VTEC that’s in the Acura RDX, could I be drawn-in more by the track playing in the background than the car that’s in the foreground? Maybe..but we’ll take a closer look soon when we review the new Acura TSX first hand.
