Mini will soon bring its Countryman crossover to the world of rally racing. The company’s new World Rally Championship racer, developed in partnership with Prodrive, has been spotted tackling some gravel stages in Portugal recently. While this is exciting news for anyone interesting in rally racing, it makes us wonder whether we’ll see a sporty rally-bred offering for consumers in the future. With a lower stance and a more powerful turbo, such a variant would certainly be a welcomed addition to the lineup if you ask us. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the Countryman performs in the WRC first. In the meantime, check out the Countryman rally car prototype in action below.
