Perhaps following in the Honda Pilot‘s foot steps, the all-new Toyota 4Runner doesn’t exchange rugged lines with graceful ‘cute ute’ curves. Instead, the latest 4Runner is boxier and brawnier than before. In addition to discovering its new-found ruggedness, the 4Runner retains the familiar 268 horsepower V6 that also powers the Camry, and adds a 161 horsepower four cylinder engine. Of course, the four cylinder is only available on models equipped with two-wheel drive to appease the MPG-conscious driver. However, for off-road enthusiasts the all-new 4Runner won’t disappoint thanks to the availability of Toyota’s X-REAS suspension system, Crawl Control, Adaptive Terrain Management System and more.
