With the Infiniti Essence concept, revealed this week at the Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti plans to enter the burgeoning luxury-hybrid market. Infiniti, which is still growing its brand in Europe, has no plans to produce the Essence coupe, but thus far the concept has already turned plenty of heads – even as other luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, Bentley and Rolls-Royce, have all introduced new models at the show.

Unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show is Mazda3 MPS, which will be known here in the States as the 2010 Mazdaspeed3. Completely redesigned from the previous Mazdaspeed3 model, the latest model has fresh styling, but so far few changes have been made under the hood.

Next week at the Geneva auto show, Toyota plans to unveil a more powerful version of its iQ subcompact. Currently powered by a 67 horsepower engine, the upcoming Toyota iQ will features a 99 horsepower 1.33-liter Dual WT-I engine.
