To be be unveiled next month at the New York International Auto Show is a new crossover from Acura that appears to have its sights set squarely on the Infiniti FX. Leaked photos tease the sleeking, sporty lines of the new crossover, which is expected to go into production sometime in 2010.

Toyota has added yet another crossover to its lineup, the midsize Venza. Toyota refers to the Venza as a “crossover sedan,” perhaps to align it with the more wagon-like crossovers on the market, such as the Chrysler Pacifica or Mercedes-Benz R-Class. Regardless, the all-new 2009 Toyota Venza provides the automaker’s lineup with fresh styling that should go a long way amid dipping auto sales.

Mini is known for offering small, yet sporty compacts, and is also one of the few brands today that doesn’t offer an SUV. Although the SUV market remains as crowded as ever, Mini intends to be the latest entry into the compact crossover segment with the Mini Crossman.
