Last year, Nissan introduced a styling package for its Maxima SR sedan which added black-painted mirror caps, wheels and other accents. This “Midnight Package” proved to be a hit with car buyers, where a staggering 85-percent of new Maximas were ordered with the moody package.
Due to surprising demand, Nissan has officially begun to rollout this stylish package to other models across its lineup, including the Altima, Murano, Pathfinder, Rogue, and Sentra. As with the Maxima, the Midnight Package adds wheels, mirrors, and spoilers that are coated in black paint for a bold yet subdued look.
For these new models, the Midnight Package can only be combined with four exterior colors, including lack, white, gray, and red. Furthermore, the cost of the package varies by each model. On the Sentra, it’s priced at $490. For Rogue and Altima, buyers will spend $990. And on the Pathfinder, Murano, and Maxima, the Midnight Package runs $1,190.
The six models now offering the Midnight Edition packages account for more than 75 percent Nissan’s U.S. sales, so the automaker is certain that it will find plenty of receptive car buyers.
For those that really love the blackout look, Nissan’s Midnight Edition models are worth checking out. The package is now available.
