There’s been plenty of buzz surrounding the next generation Nissan 370Z sports car, and with its official unveiling just around the corner, Nissan has released an official peek of the new car.
Powering the next generation Nissan 370Z will be a 3.7-liter V6 engine, the same engine found in the 2009 Infiniti G37. The engine will likely deliver about 330 horsepower and 279 lb. ft. of torque.
The Nissan 370Z will be the first redesign since the model’s reintroduction as a 2003 model. With its unique blend of performance and value, the latest Z promises to continue its reign as the preeminent affordable Japanese sports car. The new 370Z features the latest Nissan design cues borrowed from the 2009 Maxima, including the boomerang head- and taillights. There’s also a new airdam upfront and a shorten wheelbase.
Inside, the Nissan 370Z carries over the same three-gauge instrument cluster. The center stack and available navigation system look as though it belongs on the more upscale Infiniti G37. The upmarket feel also continues across the dash, doors, and seats.
The latest Nissan Z is certainly more aggressive and muscular than its predecessor, yet also appears to be more upscale as well. Although the specs on the 370Z are not yet available, it can be seen at its debut at the upcoming 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.
