Ferrari’s latest sueprcar makes no attempt to hide its incredible performance. The Italian automaker has even added ‘Superfast’ to its name.
The newest supercar to come out of Maranello will be Ferrari’s most powerful production car ever produced. The Ferrari 812 Superfast is going to be replacing the F12 model, and it will effectively raise the bar for power, performance, and beauty.
Power is derived from a 6.5-liter V12 engine that delivers 789 horsepower and 529 pound-feet of torque — that’s at least 20 more hp than the F12. That staggering amount of grunt helps the aptly named Superfast sprint from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 211 mph.
Helping the driver reign in all that power is a four-wheel steering system and Ferrari’s new “Side Slip Control” designed to keep drivers planted at all times, on the road or the track.
You’ll notice that the design of the Superfast is similar to the F12, with Ferrari clearly taking a more evolutionary stance on styling than revolutionary. Still, the Superfast features aggressive curves, a muscular stance, and wide shoulders at the rear to maximize downforce.
The all-new Ferrari 812 Superfast will soon make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Stay tuned for more details and pricing closer to launch.
