We first talked about the all-electric MINI E following its unveiling at the 2008 LA Auto Show and admired its efficiency and eco-friendliness. Powered by an electric motor that delivers the equivalent of 204-horsepower, the MINI E can go 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds. If a production version of the MINI E hangs on to the Cooper’s fun to drive characteristics, it would be sure to have plenty of drivers motoring to showrooms. Perhaps one of them would be talk show host Jay Leno, who recently had the unique opportunity to take the MINI E for a test drive.
