A new five-door is reportedly in the works at Jaguar based on the 2003 RD6 concept car. Although much of the car is in unison with Jaguar’s current design language, the rear of the RD6 is somewhat reminiscent of the oddly proportioned Volvo C30 hatchback. Overall, many styling cues from the upcoming 2010 Jaguar XJ sedan are likely to be included on the five-door when it arrives, but don’t hold your breath as the car isn’t likely to appear before 2013. Following the launch of the XJ, Jaguar’s next new product launch is the Porsche Boxster-fighting XE sports car.
