The 2011 Nissan Juke has already made its debut in Europe, but this week Nissan is officially introducing it here the U.S. Ahead of its debut, Nissan has also already released some new details of the sporty new compact crossover. Power will come from a 1.6-liter direct injected four-cylinder turbo – the first application of this engine in the U.S. This unit will produce over 180 horsepower and over 170 lb. ft of torque and will mated mated to a six-speed manual or CVT. In addition, the Nissan Juke will be available in either front-wheel drive or torque vectoring all-wheel drive. Overall, the early stats indicate that perhaps Nissan wasn’t joking when they said the Juke would bring “unexpected levels of performance” to this competitive but otherwise demure segment.
